* SINGLE-user mode only
* FEWER board sizes than the device’s maximum possible
* per board size: only 33 (instead of 100) different countrysides
Watch out: doing this tutorial takes at LEAST one hour and needs a LOT of perseverance!

“Chess Reloaded” – or CR – has a couple of properties that RESEMBLE those of chess, but are DIFFERENT at the same time. See section 1 below, “Comparison to chess”..
Then there are a couple of INNOVATIVE features which can be accomplished in computerized games only. See section 2 below.
Note: all the various features are maintained by the program automatically. All the user does is moving and pointing his/her playmen, as well as stepping through the throwing phase.
*** Section 1: Comparison to chess
* Chess is black and white only. CR uses almost ten different COLORS.
* Chess has a fixed board size (8 x 8). CR has a whole RANGE of them: from 6×5 to 14×13. The maximum possible depends on the size of the screen.
* There are six types of chessmen. CR has SEVEN types of PLAYMEN.
* Chessmen start out on different sides of the board. Playmen gather in opposite CORNERS – in front of their CAMP.
* In chess, there is a hierarchy among the figures. In CR, there is NONE.
* In chess, all fields are basically equal. In CR, there is a COUNTRYSIDE on the board.
* The aim of chess is to capture the king. The aim of CR is to conquer the opponent’s CAMP.
* Each type of chessman moves in a different way. In CR, there are only two types of movement: some playmen can move maximum TWO fields at a time, the others maximum THREE.
* Chessmen take their opponents. Playmen THROW a kind of paintball at them. If that ball – firstly – HITS and then – secondly – BURSTS, the opponent drops out.
* Chessmen who drop out, stay there for the rest of the game. Playmen can COME BACK in again.
* Chess is pure strategy. CR also has a LUCK component.
*** Section 2: Innovative features
* Each board size offers ONE HUNDRED different countrysides.
* How many fields a playman may actually move (in one round) is determined by his FUEL units.
* Each field is owned by one of the players. It can be CONQUERED or LOST.
* Fields may be CONNECTED via own fields to their camp.
* Connection can be GOOD, MEDIOCRE, BAD or NOT EXISTING.
* The type of connection governs RE-FUELLING and RE-BALLING.
* Ownership plus connection generates VALUE POINTS.
* The number of value points governs RE-ACTIVATION of dropped-out playmen.
* Fields which are not in the neighborhood of own playmen become INVISIBLE.
* Good and bad luck are LIMITED.
– The following features are available in SINGLE-user mode only –:
* BEGINNER’S mode: opposing playmen are always visible
* DIFFICULTY level: ranging from 1 to 6.
* REPORTING to the developer: store and send the present tutorial/game situation to the developer.
